Roy-Hart swimmers split with Akron; Barker boys earn first victory
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Roy-Hart’s Noah Stern helped the Channel Cats win the 400 Free Relay during this morning’s “virtual” meet against Akron.
Defending champion Roy-Hart stayed perfect at 7-0 by downing Akron 118-48 this morning in a “virtual” Niagara-Orleans League boys swim meet.
Carter Green was a double winner in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly and Charles Rickard doubled in the 100 Free and 100 Breaststroke to lead the way for Roy-Hart which also had Andrew Ossont take the 50 Free, Sean Lubiak the 500 Free and Zach Livergood the 100 Backstroke.
The Akron girls squad likewise improved to 7-0 by defeating Roy-Hart 113-56.
CC Morey was a double winner for Akron in the 200 Individual Medley and Butterfly.
Amanda Hill was a double winner in the 100 Free and 200 Free for Roy-Hart which is now 5-2.
The Barker boys earned their first victory of the season by nipping Newfane 74-72.
A win in the meet’s final event, the 400 Free Relay, by the quartet of Zach Hill, Will Goodlander, Ryan Stevener and Ryan Santarsiero provided the margin of victory for the Raiders.
Santarsiero also won the 50 Free and Breaststroke, Goodlander the 200 Free and Stevener the 100 Free.
Ethan Niver doubled for Newfane in the IM and Butterfly.
The Newfane girls improved to 3-5 by downing Barker 107-40. Bridget Martin doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Lauren Enderton in the IM and Backstroke and Kimberly Schmitt in the 100 Free and Breaststroke.
