Roy-Hart swimmers score sweep over Albion; Medina splits with Akron

Roy-Hart maintained a hold of first place by sweeping host Albion in a Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this afternoon.

The Channel Cats won the boys’ meet 65-29 and the girls’ competition 54-21.

Both Roy-Hart teams are now 7-0 while the Albion boys are 4-2-1 and the girls 1-6.

Will Rickard was a double winner in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Free and Carter Green in the 200 Free and 500 Free for the Roy-Hart boys.

Mandy Hill won both the 200 Free and 100 Butterfly and Kayla Hagen the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke for the Roy-Hart girls.

Medina splits with Akron
The Medina boys improved to 4-2-1 with a 99-68 win at Akron (0-7) as August Pietrafesa won the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly, Hunter Heil the 200 Free, Gabe Mark the 100 Free, Michael Marker the 100 Backstroke and Cole Seefeldt the 100 Breaststroke.

The Akron girls (6-1) downed Medina (3-4) 111-59.

Hannah Heil won the 50 Free, Brooklyn Brown the 200 Individual Medley and Amanda Woodruff the 100 Butterfly for Medina.

Newfane sweeps Barker

The Newfane boys squad improved to 3-4 with a 83-79 win over Barker (2-5).

Completing the sweep, the Newfane girls team (4-3) downed Barker (0-7) 120-36.
