Roy-Hart swimmers earn N-O honors
Roy-Hart senior Kayla Hagen and junior Carter Green have been named Niagara-Orleans League Swimmers of the Year by a vote of the league coaches.
Hagen, a six year varsity swimmer, took 1st at the All-league meet in both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke breaking both school records. She was also on both the winning 200 and 400 free Relay teams. Both teams broke school records and the 200 relay also broke the league record.
At the N-O vs. G-R Crossover meet, she placed 2nd in the 50 free breaking a school record and 1st in the 100 back setting league and school records. She was also on the 200 Free Relay which broke meet, school, league records and 400 Relay which broke league and school records.
Green swam undefeated in league competition. He placed first in both the 200 and 500 Freestyle in All-League and was on both winning relays 200 and 400 Relays.
At the Section VI Class C championship meet he placed 2nd in the 200 free and 1st in the 500. At the State Qualifier meet he placed 7th in 200 and 3rd in the 500 free.
