Roy-Hart sweeps softball twin bill from Albion

Staying perfect at 10-0, Roy-Hart swept to a doubleheader victory over host Albion by scores of 22-1 and 20-2 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League softball action.
Kayla Brown had 4 hits including a home run and 3 RBIs, Reanna Perkins 3 hits and 4 RBIs and Jamie Bower 2 hits and 5 RBIs to lead Roy-Hart at the plate in the opener.
Maddie Fry bangs out a hit for Roy-Hart.
Mallory Steiner picked up the win in the circle striking out 7.
Maddy Glenna had a grand slam home run to highlight the Roy-Hart attack in the second game as Lexie Lovewell added 2 hits with 3 RBIs.
Sam Choate was the winning pitcher registering 4 strikeouts.
Albion is now 4-6.
Medina 11, Newfane 2
Cora Payne hurled a no hitter with 8 strikeouts to lead Medina to an 11-2 win at Newfane as the Mustangs improve to 8-1 in N-O competition.
Ashlee Howell, Brandi Guild and Camri King each banged out 4 hits to lead the Medina attack. Guild and King both had doubles among their hits.
The loss drops Newfane to 0-8.
Akron 16, Wilson 4
Akron (2-3) downed Wilson (2-5) 16-4 as Darion Jonathan and Abby Stone both hit home runs.
