Roy-Hart spikers hand Akron first loss
Roy-Hart threw the Niagara-Orleans League volleyball title race into a three-way battle by handing Akron its first loss by a score of 25-19, 25-20, 25-17.
Akron is now 7-1 while Roy-Hart and Wilson are both 6-2. Wilson outlasted host Medina in five sets 25-23, 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 15-11.
Raegan Kern had 10 spiking kills and Lila Brigham 8 for Roy-Hart as Ella Martillotta had 17 assists, 3 kills and 3 service aces.
Kelsey Lemoi had 3 aces for Medina as Maddy Watts, Sam Heschke and Abby Paul each had 2.
At the net, Maddi Rutledge had 4 kills and 3 blocks as Paul and Josephine Pollock both had 3 kills.
