Roy-Hart spikers down Lyndonville

Photos by Cheryl Wertman – Olivia Vorholzer serves up one of her 11 straight first set points which ignited host Roy-Hart to a win over Lyndonville this evening.

Racing out to a commanding first set lead, Roy-Hart went on to defeat visiting Lyndonville 25-5, 25-12, 25-16 this evening in a non league volleyball match.

Olivia Vorholzer served up 11 straight points, 4 of which were aces, to put Roy-Hart in command 12-0 at the outset of the opening set.

Skyler Christopher served up the final 7 points of the first set for the Lady Rams, 3 of which were aces.

Vorholzer finished with a total of 18 service points, 8 of which were aces, and 3 spiking kills. Bea Bacon added 15 points, 5 of which were aces and 4 kills.

Roy-Hart next visits defending champion Albion at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to open the Niagara-Orleans League season. The other N-O openers will have Medina at Akron and Newfane at Wison.
