Roy-Hart set for N-O opener Tuesday

Anchored by a good group of 10 returnees, Roy-Hart will open the Niagara-Orleans League girls soccer season at Barker at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Seniors Kaleigh Kuzma, Ava Bligh, Alyssa Hess, Emily DiMayo and Marguerite Loughrey head that veteran group which also includes juniors Kayla Brown, Josephine Capen, Sophia LaPort, Ellie Todd and Maddie Fry.

Brown earned second team N-O all-League honors last cal while Kuzma and Fry were both Honorable Mention selections.

The Lady Rams key losses to graduation were the high scoring duo of Emma Lindke (30 goals) and Amber Villella (27 goals) along with defender Rachael Rausch.

“We’ll adjust to our strengths,” said Coach Rich Jennings.

Roy-Hart went 6-7-1 in N-O competition last season.
