Roy-Hart says thanks to retiring basketball coach

Retiring Roy-Hart boys varsity basketball Coach Mark Rydza speaks to the crowd during pre game ceremonies in which he was honored this evening before the Rams game against Barker. Rydza, who is retiring at the end of the school year, was honored for his 25 years of service as the Rams basketball coach. “It’s been a lot of fun and I have a ton of great memories,” Rydza told the crowd. “I’ve met a lot of great people but its really all about the players and I’ve had a lot of fantastic kids play for me.” Rydza was also cited for his dedication to and hard work with Roy-Hart student-athletes for the past 25 years by Roy-Hart and Barker Superintendent Roger Klatt, Roy-Hart Athletic Director John Jablonski, John Grzymala, representing the Roy-Hart coaching staff and senior Alex Stoddard representing the Rams players. Rydza has also coached the Rams golf team for the past 24 years.
