Roy-Hart romps in Class B2 volleyball opener; Medina bows to top seed City Honors

No. 6 seed Roy-Hart romped to a straight set 25-18, 25-5, 25-12 victory over host No. 3 Buffalo Arts this evening in the quarterfinals of the Section VI Class B2 volleyball playoffs.

Victoria Stanczyk had 15 service points, 4 of which were aces, Aspen Moore 14 points, 3 aces and 4 spiking kills, Skyler Christopher 6 kills, Bea Bacon 9 points, 4 aces and 12 kills and Olivia Vorholzer 5 points, 3 aces and 5 kills to lead the way for the Lady Rams.

Roy-Hart will next visit No. 2 Alden in the semifinals on Tuesday.

City Honors 25-25-25, Medina 18-21-16
Top seeded City Honors bested visiting No. 9 Medina in straight sets in another B2 quarterfinal.

Emily Kams had 4 kills, 7 digs and 7 assists, Molley Gross 7 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks, Je’ne Brown 6 kills, Maddie Williams 2 kills and 5 digs, Carley Schultz 2 kills, Grace Masse 7 kills and 9 assists, Alyssa Beyer 4 digs and Brandi Guild 3 digs for Medina.

In a Class C1 quarterfinal, top seeded Niagara-Orleans League champion Akron defeated visiting No. 8 Wilson in straight sets.
