Rams retain N-O boys soccer title outright

Locking up outright possession of a second straight Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer title, Roy-Hart trimmed host Wilson 2-1 this afternoon.

Peter Martillotta scored both goals for Roy-Hart which finishes the N-O title campaign with a 9-1 record.

Wilson winds up in the runner-up spot at 8-2.

In the other N-O game, Akron (4-4-1) downed Newfane (2-7-1) 5-1. The Tigers will now host Medina/Lyndonville on Friday to close out the N-O season.

N-O Girls Soccer
Wilson (6-2) edged champion Roy-Hart (7-1) 4-3 and Newfane (1-7) edged Akron (1-7) 2-1.

Leia Cloy scored two goals for Wilson, including the game winner, as Madelaine Schultz and Rian Faery each netted one.

Kara Choate, Ava Owens and Kaylie Churchill each scored a goal for Roy-Hart which had already locked up outright possession of a second straight N-O title.
