Roy-Hart rallies to edge Akron in N-O soccer

Maintaining sole possession of first place Roy-Hart rallied to edge past visiting Akron 2-1 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this evening.

Trailing 1-0, Roy-Hart rallied in the second half as Zach Livergood scored the tying goal and Brandin Masters netted the game winner, both off assists from Peter Martillotta.

Akron had grabbed the first half lead on a goal by Caleb Suckow.

Roy-Hart is now 6-0 and Akron 2-2 in N-O action. Wilson is in second place at 4-2 followed by Medina/Lyndonville and Newfane, both at 2-3 and Albion at 0-6.

Albion dropped a 9-0 decision to Batavia in a non league game.

In Genesee Region League action, Wheatland-Chili nipped Kendall 1-0 and Attica downed Holley 4-2. Cameron Bates scored both goals for Holley.

In girls soccer action, the Albion at Alexander non league contest was halted after 10 minutes as rain made the field unplayable.

Field Hockey
Kenmore outlasted visiting Medina 6-4 leaving both teams at 4-4 in Niagara-Orleans League action. Lydia Fox scored two goals for Medina as Addison Taylor and Penelope Schalck each added one.

Roy-Hart played to a 3-3 tie with Sacred Heart in a non league game. Jessica VanKuren, Cheyenne Stilwell and Brooke Zglinicki each scored a goal for the Lady Rams.

Volleyball

Elba defeated Albion 25-16. 23-25, 25-10, 25-12 in a non league volleyball match as Rachel Walls had 8 kills and 2 aces and Carol Sybertz 3 kills and 3 aces.
