Roy-Hart sophomore Charlie Bruning threw a complete game no hitter with 9 strikeouts as the Rams blanked visiting Lockport 3-0 this afternoon in a non league baseball game.

Bruning also helped his own cause at the plate by banging out an RBI single in the fifth inning to snap a scoreless deadlock.

The Rams added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth inning on an RBI single by Eric Fitch and a fielders choice play off the bat of Ben Schwab.

Roy-Hart next continues defense of its Niagara-Orleans League title with a key game at Albion at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. The Purple Eagles are 2-0 and the Rams 1-0 in N-O action to date.
