Roy-Hart girls set five N-O swim records

Roy-Hart truly had a record setting evening at the annual Niagara-Orleans League vs. Genesee Region League swim meet Monday at Gates-Chili as the Channel Cats set a total of five league and one school records.

Senior Kayla Hagen took second in the 50 free but set an N-O record time of 24.82. She also won the 100 Backstroke in 1:00.99.

Sophomore Mandy Hill broke the 200 Individual Medley meet and league record with a time of 2:15.65 and also set the school record time in the 100 Butterfly of 1:01.84. She was voted “Swimmer of the Meet”.

Roy-Hart’s quartet of  Kennedy Lang, Jordyn Bobzien, Hagen and Hill won the 200 Free Relay breaking the meet and  league records with a time of 1:44.00.

The Channel Cats foursome of Anna Rickard, Madison Ohol, Hagen and Hill placed second in the 400 free Relay breaking league record with a time of 3:49.19.

Ohol, a senior, also placed second in the 500 Free and third in the 200 Free.

Roy-Hart finished second in the final team standings.
