Roy-Hart girls down Medina for 1st N-O win

Roy-Hart earned its first Niagara-Orleans League girls basketball win of the season by downing host Medina 39-28 this evening.

Rileigh McCabe scored 9 to lead Roy-Hart’s balanced offense as Shelby Wolf and Kara Choate both had 8 and Claire Halstead and Miah Glena 6.

Sarah Sones and Anna Cruz-Robb both scored 6 and Anya Bloom 5 for Median.

Roy-Hart jumped out to a 14-7 first quarter lead as Wolf scored 6.

The Lady Rams led by 10, 25-15 at the half.

Roy-Hart is now 1-2 in the league and Medina 0-3.

Wilson 56, Albion 32
In a key early season clash of unbeatens, Wilson bested visiting Albion 56-32 as Skylar Munnikhuysen and Izzy Dinse both scored 14 and Anna Frerichs 10.

Paige Derisley scored 8 and Aly Knaak and Ryan Olles 7 each for Albion.

Wilson led 29-15 at the half and 38-23 at the three-quarter mark.

Wilson is now 3-0 in the league and Albion 3-1.

Newfane 49, Akron 34
Paige Littman scored 12, Hannah Hambruch 10 and Lauren Boudeman 9 to lead the way for Newfane while Jayni Sundown had 11 for Akron.

Newfane is now 2-0 in N-O action and Akron 1-3.
