Roy-Hart closes in on N-O volleyball title

Closing in on the league title, Roy-Hart rolled to a straight set 25-9. 25-23. 25-22 victory over visiting defending champion Akron in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match this evening.

Improving to 7-0, Roy-Hart now holds a two match lead over runners-up Newfane (4-2) and Akron (3-2) with only three matches remaining.

Sam Albright had 4 kills, 3 blocks and 2 aces, Alex Stern 4 aces and 2 blocks and Ava Brigham 2 aces and 2 blocks to lead the way for the Lady Rams.

In another N-O match, Wilson bested visiting Medina 25-11, 25-19, 25-16.

Faith Oberther had 2 aces and 1 kill, Miriam Fike 2 kills and 1 ace, Saige Cau 1 ace and Amaya Cleveland, Ki’Mani Poole and Hailey Wilkins 1 kill each for Medina.

In Genesee Region League matches, Pembroke downed visiting Lyndonville 25-21, 19-25, 25-21, 25-22 and Elba topped Holley 25-22. 25-13, 26-24.

Lorelei Dillenbeck had 5 aces and 5 kills, Ashlee Stephens 2 blocks, Addison Dillenbeck 5 aces and 5 kills, Gracie Johnson 5 kills and Halley Shaffer 2 aces and 22 digs for the Lady Tigers.

Laci Sewar had 7 aces and 2 kills, Rachel Walls 5 kills and Adison Norton 4 kills for Elba.

Girls Soccer
Byron-Bergen (11-2-0) downed Kendall (5-7-1) and Alexander defeated Lyndonville/Medina 9-2 in Genesee Region League girls soccer games.

Mia Gray and Mackenzie Hagen scored the goals for B-B while Ella Lewis and Lily

Jo Carpenter each netted a goal for Lyndonville/Medina.

In a Niagara-Orleans League game, Wilson (3-2) blanked Akron (0-5) 2-0.

Field Hockey

Akron (7-0) downed Wilson (0-8) 22-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game.
