Roy-Hart cagers score win at Newfane

Building up a 16 point half-time advantage Roy-Hart went on to defeat host Newfane 67-49 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball game this evening.

Vinny Buscarino scored 24, Aiden Petrie 20 and Jamel Johnson Jr. 14 to lead the way for Roy-Hart.

Nate Snow took game high honors with 26 for Newfane.

Petrie scored 8 in the first quarter and Buscarino 13 in the second to help Roy-Hart open up a 42-26 lead at the half.

The Rams maintained a 17 point, 55-38, advantage heading into the final quarter as Johnson scored 8 in the third period.

Roy-Hart is now 2-0 and Newfane 1-1 in N-O action.

Wilson 46, Barker 42
Matt Fox scored 13, Paul Smith 12 and Logan Wolf made 5 of 6 from the free throw line in the decisive final quarter to help Wilson edge Barker 46-42.

Nathan Meza Ray led Barker with 11.

Trailing 20-15 at the half, Wilson rallied into a 32-30 lead at the three-quarter mark after outpointing Barker 17-10 in the third period.

Wilson is now 1-1 and Barker 0-2 in league competition.

Medina vs. Akron postponed
Friday’s Medina vs. Akron boys and girls games have been postponed.

Medina Athletic Director Eric Valley states that the games “are being rescheduled for safety measures with multiple players currently out of school.”

Lyndonville 45, Holley 12
Improving to 7-1, Lyndonville defeated host Holley 45-12 in a Genesee Region League game this evening.

Ella Lewis had 13 points, 5 assists, 3 steals and 3 rebounds, Addison Dillenbeck 8 points. 8 rebounds and 7 steals, Lorelei Dillenbeck 4 assists and 3 steals and Karlee Rounds 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks for Lyndonville.
