Roy-Hart boys scores cross-country sweep

Roy-Hart defeated Albion 21-36 and host Wilson 26-29 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys cross-country meet today.

Wilson gained a split on the day by downing Albion 21-34.

Roy-Hart was led by the 1-3 finish of Ozzy Moore and Jay Heideman while Jon Moote placed second for Wilson.

Roy-Hart is now 2-1, Wilson 1-2 and Albion 0-4.

In the girls competition, Albion scored a pair of wins as Roy-Hart and Wilson both had incomplete teams.

Roy-Hart’s Anna Rickard won the race as Albion’s Alanna Holman placed second and Wilson’s Jamie Regan third.

Albion is now 2-2, while Roy-Hart and Wilson both slip to 0-3.

In a dual meet, Newfane defeated Barker 19-44 in the boys’ competition and 15- 50 in the girl’s to go to 3-0.

Newfane’s Nathan Moran won the boy’s meet as Barker’s Peter DiLorenzo placed second and Newfane’s Nick Baes third.

The Newfane girls were led by the 1-2-3 finish of Kylie Bowman, Lydia Chunco and Kat Ursing.

Anna Rickard of Roy-Hart won today’s cross country meet that also included runners from Albion and Wilson. Alanna Holman of Albion was second in the race.
