Roy-Hart booters blank Wilson

A goal just before half-time keyed Roy-Hart to a 2-0 victory over host Wilson this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Jamasen Johnson scored with just three seconds remaining in the first half off an assist from Jose Campos to put Roy-Hart on top to stay.

The Rams then got an insurance goal in the second half by Noah Kindron off an assist from Johnson.

Kodey Hayes earned the shutout in goal for the Rams which also got a strong defensive effort from the quintet of Patrick Sheelar, Andrew Srock, Jacob Fritton, Tyler Choate and Matt Scott.

Roy-Hart is now 1-1 and Wilson 0-2 in N-O action.

Pembroke 5, Kendall 4 OT

Trailing 3-0 at the half, Kendall battled back to take a 4-3 lead only to see host Pembroke retie the Genesee Region League game with 30 just seconds to go in regulation and then to net the game winner in the first overtime period for a 5-4 victory.

Kendall got two goals from Nate Warters and one each from Miguel Aquirre and Brahayan Gonzalez to rally into the 4-3 lead.
