Roy-Hart blanks Newfane in N-O boys soccer

Pulling away in the second half, Roy-Hart shutout host Newfane 4-0 this afternoon to improve to 3-0 in Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer competition.

Leading by a narrow 1-0 margin, Roy-Hart broke that game open early in the second half when Trent Choate scored a pair of quick goals within a span of two minutes.

Peter Martillotta later closed out the win by netting Roy-Hart’s final goal. He also scored the Rams lone first half goal on a penalty kick.

Zack Walker made four saves for the Rams to earn the shutout in goal.

The loss drops the Panthers to 1-3 in N-O action.

In the other N-O contest, Wilson (3-1) nipped visiting Albion (0-4) 1-0 in overtime.
