Roy-Hart blanks Medina/Lyndonville

Staying within a game of the top spot, Roy-Hart shutout Medina/Lyndonville 3-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game at Lyndonville.

The victory boosts Roy-Hart’s N-O record to 3-1 and keeps the Rams within a game of undefeated (4-0) defending champion Newfane.

Noah Kindron scored what proved to be the game winning goal for Roy-Hart with 18 minutes to go in the first half off an assist from Andrew Srock.

Roy-Hart opened up a little breathing room when Aaron Miller scored 12 minutes into the second half.

The Rams then put a lock on the victory when Aidan Bligh tallied with 13 minutes remaining.

Jamasen Johnson earned the assist on both of those second half goals.

The loss drops Medina/Lyndonville to 1-2.

Wilson 2, Albion 1 OT

Wilson (1-2-1) edged past visiting Albion (0-3) 2-1 in overtime in the other N-O contest.

Matt Couturier scored the game winner in OT for Wilson.

Kendyll Hadick scored for Albion in the second half to knot the contest at 1-1.

Girls Soccer

Byron-Bergen 4, Holley 0

All of the scoring came in the second half as Byron-Bergen downed Holley 4-0 in a Genesee Region League game.

Roy-Hart’s Aidan Bligh and Medina/Lyndonville’s Evan Horn battle for control of the ball.
