Roy-Hart blanks Fredonia in B2 quarterfinal

A pair of first half goals sparked No. 2 seed Roy-Hart to a 4-0 victory over No. 7 Fredonia in a Section VI Class B2 boys soccer quarterfinal game this afternoon at Lockport.

The Guild brothers provided the key first half scoring punch for the Rams. First, Landen scored off an assist from Aiden. Then Landen returned the favor by assisting on a goal by Aiden.

The Rams then put a firm lock on the victory in the second half as Peter Martillotta scored a pair of line drive goals on direct kick opportunities with 25 and 15 minutes to go.

Zach Walker earned the shutout in goal for the Rams whose defense was anchored by the quarter of Caleb Verratti, Andrew Waters, Brayden Hy and Ethan Kuzma.

Improving to 15-1, Roy-Hart will next face No. 6 seed Lafayette in the semifinals on Monday at West Seneca West. Lafayette downed No. 3 Alden 3-1 this afternoon.
