Channel Cats sweep Akron in key N-O swim meet; Albion splits with Newfane

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville scored a sweep over visiting Akron in a key Niagara-Orleans League swim meet this evening.

RBL won the boys meet 87-82 leaving both teams at 3-1 in the N-O title race.

Andrew Ossont was a double winner in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke and Sean Labiak took both the 200 Free and 500 Free for the Channel Cats.

Aiden Polkowski doubled in the 200 Individual Medley and 100 Free and Dawson Stone in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke for the TigerSharks.

RBL also took the girls meet 101-67 to stay unbeaten at 4-0 as Akron slips to 3-1.

Julia Miles won both the 50 Free and 100 Free for RBL as Ava Achtyl took the 200 Free, Abigail Glyshaw the 500 Free and Nadia White the Breaststroke.

Audrey Garverick doubled in the IM and Backstroke for Akron as Mayah Harris took the Butterfly.

Albion splits with Newfane
The Albion girls downed Newfane 90-79 to snap a season opening three meet losing streak.

Mia Olles doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Free for Albion as Keira Sidari took the IM and Willow Gaines the Breaststroke.

Avery Stevenson won the Butterfly, Kimberly Schmitt the 500 and Kaia Farley the Backstroke for Newfane.

The Newfane boys improved to 3-1 by nipping Albion 78-76 as Daenon Kopp doubled in the 200 Free and 500 Free, Noah Kneeland in the IM and Breaststroke and Eijah Thompson in the 100 Free and Backstroke.

Finn McCue won the 50 Free and Dallas Ecker in Butterfly for Albion which is now 1-3.
