R-H/Barker/Medina opens club hockey season
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club hockey team team opened the 2021-2022 season with s pair of games over this past weekend.
On Saturday, RBM hosted ELPS (Eden, Lake Shore, Pioneer, Springville) and came away losing 7-1. RBM fell behind 2-0 after one period and 5-0 after two. Finally, Dayton Ruppel (Akron) scored with the assist going to Lucius Wagner (Medina).
Sunday saw RBM travel to Buffalo State to face City Honors/Cardinal O’Hare. Falling behind 2-0 after the opening period, RBM got on the board on a goal by Wagner with assists going to Richard Keppler (Medina) and Joel Harris (Barker). That ended RBM scoring as they fell 9-1.
RBM next faces St. Francis on Sunday at Leisure Rinks in West Seneca at 6 p.m.
