Roy-Hart/Barker girls lock up N-O swim title
Staying perfect at 7-0, the defending champion Roy-Hart/Barker girls swim team locked up the Niagara-Orleans League title with a 102-57 victory over visiting Medina this evening.
Madelina Pavlock doubled in the 200 Free and 100 Breaststroke, Ava Achtyl in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Free, Sophia Santella in the 50 Free and 100 Butterfly and Julia Miles in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke to lead the Channel Cats.
The Roy-Hart/Barker boys squad downed Medina 91-63 to pull into a tie for the N-O lead with Albion at 6-1.
Roy-Hart/Barker will close out the regular N-O season by hosting Newfane on Thursday while Albion visits Medina.
Sean Labiak won both the 200 Free and 500 Free, Nick Armenia the IM and Butterfly and Carson Hashem the 50 Free and 100 Free for the Channel Cats as Garrett Glyshaw added a win in the Breaststoke.
Jackson Reese won the Backstroke for Medina.
In the other N-O meet Akron and Newfane split. Akron won the boys’ meet 77.5-73.5 and Newfane the girls’ competition 95-65.
Individual event double winners included Colten Cleveland (200 Free and 500 Free) and Audrey Garverick (200 Free and 500 Free) for Akron along with Noah Kneeland (50 Free and Breaststroke) and Kimberly Schmitt (IM and Breaststroke) for Newfane.
