Roy-Hart and Albion romp to softball wins

Scoring runs in bunches, Roy-Hart and Albion both romped to lopsided Niagara-Orleans League softball victories this afternoon.

Roy-Hart posted a 19-2 win over Medina at Vets Park and Albion blanked Akron 19-0.

The Lady Rams scored 7 runs in the third inning, 5 in the fourth, 3 in the second and fifth and one in the first.

Alayna Kowalski had a double and triple and Kaitlin Mettler a single and double to lead the offense for Roy-Hart which also benefitted from 14 walks and 5 hit batters.

Abby Fox earned the win in the circle allowing 2 hits and striking out 7.

Karlee Cau had a triple for Medina.

Roy-Hart is now 6-1 and Medina 0-5 in N-O action.

Albion 19, Akron 0
Albion pounded out 19 hits including a double, triple and home run by Kenzi Snook, a home run by Kaitlyn Bennett and a triple by Aubrielle Barry to highlight the victory over Akron.

Bennett and Lux Froman both finished with 4 hits, winning pitcher Alana Irvine and Snook 3 each and Cami London 2. Snook had a total of 7 RBIs.

In the circle, Irvine registered 6 strikeouts.

Albion is now 4-3 and Akron 1-5.
