Roy-Hart alum Coleen Rausch has taken over the coaching reins for the Lady Rams varsity soccer squad which boasts a sizable contingent of veteran players.
That veteran group includes no less that five players who earned spots on the Niagara-Orleans All-League squad last fall. That quintet includes first team honoree Emma Lindke, a junior midfielder/forward; second team selections Taylor Fry, a senior midfielder/forward and Hannah Rausch, a senior defender; along with honorable mention picks Ashley Bower, a senior defender/goalie, and Amber Villella, a junior midfielder/forward.
The Lady Rams other senior returnees include Jordanna Lieberman (defender), Allie Sauers (midfielder), Leah Ribbeck (defender/goalie) and Carlie Coleman (defender).
“We’re definitely looking sharp in practice so we have high hopes,” said Coach Rausch. “Defensively we look solid. We have a lot of good athletes.”
Roy-Hart, which went 6-8 in N-O action last fall, is scheduled to open the league campaign at Medina on September 2.
