Roy-Hart ‘9’ wins Alexander Tournament
Roy-Hart captured top honors at the Alexander baseball tournament today defeating Alden 11-6 in the semifinals and Perry 15-2 in the championship game.
Al Xapsos and Andrew Srock both had 3 hits and Charlie Bruning 2 for Roy-Hart in the win over Alden. Xapsos’ hits included a double and triple with four RBIs.
Ben Schwab picked up the win on the mound allowing no hits with 11 strikeouts in five innings of work.
Xapsos, winning pitcher Walker Samanka and Gavyn Boyle then each had a pair of hits, including a double, and Charlie Brigham a double in the victory over Perry.
Samanka registered 7 strikeouts in four and one-third innings of work on the mound.
