Purple Eagles and Mustangs will open Section VI basketball playoffs on the road

Albion and Medina will both open Section VI boys basketball playoff competition on the road this coming week.

Seeded No. 11 in Class A2, Albion will visit No. 6 Alden at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The winner will play at No. 3 Depew at 7 p.m. Friday.

Medina, which is seeded No. 11 in Class B1, will visit No. 6 Burgard at 7 p.m. Thursday at MST Prep in Buffalo. The winner will visit No. 3 Newfane at noon on Saturday.

Roy-Hart, which is seeded No. 4 in Class B2, will host a quarterfinal game at noon on Saturday against the winner of Thursday’s game between No. 5 Falconer and No. 12 JFK.

Barker, which is seeded No. 8 in Class C, will host a pre-quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Thursday against the winner of Tuesday’s first round contest between No. 9 Holland and No. 16 Brocton.

Wilson, which is seeded No. 8 in Class B2, will host No. 9 Portville in a pre-quarterfinal game at 7 p.m. Thursday. The winner will visit top seeded MST Prep at noon on Saturday.

Akron is seeded No. 4 in Class B1 and will host a quarterfinal game at noon on Saturday.
