A photo look back at Medina’s wild 38-31 win over arch rival Albion Friday at Spierdowis Field in Albion

Medina junior quarterback Jason Hellwig became the Mustangs career touchdown passing leader when he threw two scoring strikes (to Dylan Lewis and Kyle Barna) during Friday’s 38-31 victory over rival Albion. Hellwig, who now has 13 touchdown passes this season and 29 for his career, breaks the old school record of 27 set by Levi Pace during the 2007-2009 seasons.

Getting plenty of vocal support from the Mustangs cheerleaders, the Medina squad runs onto the field at Spierdowis Field.

Medina co-captain Dan Brown gives the Doc’s Rock trophy to Melissa Decker prior to the start of the game. The trophy is given annually to the victor in the rivalry contest in memory of Larry “Doc” Decker who taught and coached at both schools.
