Rival Eagles, Hawks to collide this week

Holley will face rival Kendall in both Genesee Region League boys and girls basketball to highlight the coming week’s high school cage action.

Holley will host the girls game on Thursday while Kendall will host the boys contest on Friday. The Kendall boys nipped Holley 62-59 recently in the Hawks Holiday Tournament.

The Holley boys will have a very busy week as the Hawks will also host Oakfield-Alabama on Monday and Lyndonville on Wednesday.

In Niagara-Orleans League boys basketball, defending champion Medina faces a pair of road tests at Wilson on Tuesday and at Newfane on Friday. Medina and Newfane currently share first place with Barker at 2-0 while Wilson is a game off the pace at 2-1.

The Medina girls will host defending champion Wilson on Tuesday and Newfane on Thursday. Wilson is off to a 4-0 N-O start while Medina is in the runner-up spot at 2-0.

Rivals Medina and Albion will meet in both swimming on Tuesday and in wrestling on Wednesday, both at Medina.
