Roy-Hart’s Fry earns All-WNY honors

Taylor Fry, who helped pitch and hit Roy-Hart to an undefeated (14-0) Niagara-Orleans League championship season this spring, has been named to the first team of the All-Western New York softball squad for small schools.
Fry, a five year varsity player for the Lady Rams who graduated last month, posted a 19-2 overall record in the circle this season. She struck out 107 batters in 117 innings and had an earned run average of 1.193.
At the plate, she hit .405 and had 9 RBIs.
Her teammate, Ashley Bower, who also graduated in June, earned All-WNY honorable mention. She hit .394 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, 6 home runs and drove in a total of 34 runs.
Fry and Bower are both two-time first team N-O All-League honorees.
Akron freshman Abby Stone has earned first team All-WNY honors. A two-time first team N-O All-League honoree, she hit. 608 this season with 4 doubles, 5 triples, 8 home runs and 37 RBIs.
