The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team returned to league action Saturday evening and came away a 9-1 home ice win over Buffalo to improve to 7-1 and maintain a one game league lead.

A five goal opening period proved to be more than enough to insure the victory.

Nick Wood (Akron), who scored a total of four goals on the evening, opened the scoring assisted by Colin Dodge (R-H).  Three minutes later, Dominic Peracciny (R-H) scored a power play goal with help from Wood and Ryan Mettler (R-H).  Eighth grader Joel Harris (B) scored 18 seconds later unassisted.  Then it was Wood again with assists from Jason Kuchey (R-H) and Tagen Decker (R-H). Decker completed the scoring in the opening period helped by Wood and Conner McNeil (M).

Buffalo did manage a goal in the next period, but Wood answered off an assist from Mettler.

In the final period, it was goals from Wood, Andrew Downey (R-H) and Kuchey which ended the scoring with two assists by Kuchey.

RBM returns to the Christmas Tournament Monday morning at 10:30 against Orchard Park at Leisure Rinks.  Their next League game is Dec. 28th at home against second place City Honors/Cardinal O’Hare at 7:40 p.m.
