The Orleans County Retired Teachers’ Association has announced the donation of $100 each to a food pantry in each of Orleans County’s five school districts.

According to treasurer Ann Czajkowski of Newfane, the donations were made possible by a contribution of $500 to each of the 10 counties in the Central Western Zone of the Retired Educators of New York. The CWZ was able to do this because of the generosity of its members during the 2020 President’s Appeal, which created excess funds, Czajkowski said.

The $100 checks were given to Community Action in Albion, Medina Food Pantry at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Medina, Eastern Orleans Community Center in Holley, Lyndonville/Yates Food Pantry in Lyndonville and the Kendall Food Pantry in Kendall.
