Repeat honorees head N-O All-League softball team

Six repeat selections head the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League softball squad.

That contingent includes Albion senior pitcher/infielder Meghan Hurley, Barker senior pitcher Erika Moeller, Akron sophomore catcher Abby Stone, Roy-Hart sophomore infielder Kayla Brown along with the Newfane duo of senior infielder Katie Kneeland and junior catcher Olivia Littman.

Akron, which captured the N-O title with a 13-1 record, is also represented on the first team by senior outfielder Sarah Schultz and sophomore pitcher Mattie Klein.

Rounding out the first team are Medina junior pitcher Emily Kams, Roy-Hart freshman catcher Maddie Fry, Wilson junior catcher Jen Darlak and CSAT junior infielder YaYa Navarro.

Hurley hit .453 with 4 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs and 23 RBIs. In the circle, she went 5-2 with a 0.17 era.

Moeller went 6-6 in the circle with 158 strikeouts in 100 innings of work and a 2.17 era. At the plate, she hit . 338 with 15 RBIs.

Stone hit .567 with 12 doubles, 7 triples, 4 home runs and 51 RBIs.

Brown hit .591 with 5 doubles, 6 triples, 2 home runs and 42 RBIs.

Kneeland hit .385 with 3 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 14 RBIs.

Littman hit .500 with 5 doubles, 2 home runs and 10 RBIs.

Klein went 17-2 overall in the circle with 113 strikeouts and a 1.24 era. At the plate she hit .288 with 12 RBIs.

Schultz hit .329 with 6 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run and 14 RBIs.

Kams registered 91 strikeouts in 90 innings of work in the circle. At the plate she hit .411 with 5 doubles, 3 triples, 1 home run and 5 RBIs.

Fry hit. 513 with 2 doubles, 2 triples and 16 RBIs.

Darlak hit .508 with 3 doubles, 4 triples, 2 home runs and 24 RBIs.
