Lady Hawks have 5 regional soccer honorees
First team honoree senior Samantha Bates heads a group of five Holley players who have been named to the All Greater Rochester Area girls soccer squad.
The Lady Hawks also have a quartet of Honorable Mention selections including seniors Emma Brady, Bella Thom and Jailyn Bishop along with junior Zoey Wolf.
That quintet of players helped lead Holley to a history making season as the Lady Hawks captured a first ever Section V state qualifier win, a first ever Far West Regional victory and a first ever trip to the state semifinals.
Bates, who also recently earned first team Class C All-State honors, scored 29 goals and had 10 assists this season.
A five year varsity player and a three time Genesee Region League All-Star, she finished her career with over 100 goals.
Bishop had 11 goals and 13 assists this season, Brady 9 goals and 9 assists, Thom 5 goals and 7 assists and Wolf 4 goals and 2 assists.
All four players earned G-R All-Star honors.
The All-Greater Rochester Honorable Mention selections also includes the Kendall duo of junior Ava Quintern and freshman Sophia Picardo along with Lyndonville/Barker senior Kayli Miller.
All three players earned G-R All-Star honors.
Quintern had 24 goals and 7 assists and Picardo 14 goals and 11 assists this season.
