Reds score two youth diamond wins
The Mark’s Pizzeria Reds closed the regular season with a pair of wins this past week 8-0 over the Lyndonville Athletics and 6-2 over the Hartway Phillies.
Reds 8, Athletics 0
The Reds spread the pitching load among five pitchers, Brody Fry, Jimmy Dieter, Avion Johnson, Brady Christiaansen, and Carter Woodworth. They all pitched well.
Fry led batting as he went 3 for 3 with a double and a triple and 1 RBI. Christiaansen also went 3 for 3 and scored twice and Gavin Snook went 3 for 3. Preston Woodworth added 2 hits and scored twice as Analise Wagner and Woodworth both had 2 hits. Dieter, Johnson, Aiden Wisniewski, Riley Tompkins, and Frankie Dicureia all added a hit.
Reds 6, Phillies 2
Fry, Johnson, and Dieter all pitched well.
Dieter went 3 for 3 with 2 singles and a triple and scored 2 runs, Fry 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, Woodworth 2 for 3 and two runs scored, Johnson 2 for 3 with an RBI, Christiaansen a triple and a RBI and Snook was 2 for 2. Tompkins, Wisniewski, and Wagner all added hits.
Bogan and Tuttle Twins 8, Roy-Hart Athletics 2
Will Prest, Tyler Allen and Jackson Shultz all went 3 for 3 for the Twins. Cole Callard and Sawyer Kingsbury both had two hits . Also chipping in with hits were Carlos Doval, Alekander Seefledt and Leland Klos.
Callard had 5 strikeouts, Kingsbury 3 and Prest 2.
