Reds, Pirates tie in youth baseball

The Mark’s Pizzeria Reds and the Medina Savings & Loan Pirates played to a 3-3 tie this week in youth baseball action.

For the Reds, Brody Fry had a double and single and Brandon Christiaansen a triple and an RBI. Michael Chilser and Julian Woodworth both had an RBI hit as Jimmy Dieter and Brady Christiaansen also both had a hit.

For the Pirates, Mason Moreland had a big three-run triple in the third inning while Jack Cecchini and Josh Hilobuk each had 2 hits. Jackson Moreland added a single.

Red Sox 4, Giants 2

The Baxter Red Sox edged the Lyndonville Giants 4-2 as Ryleigh Culver had 4 strikeouts and Liam Castricone 2.

At the plate for the Red Sox, Robert McCarthy had a double, a single and an RBI; Culver a two-run double and Breydin Miller an RBI double. Frankie Stephens, Aaron Woodroe, Brennan Woodruff and Castricone also all added hits.

Twins 6, Athletics 1

The Takeform Twins downed the Athletics 6-1 as Sawyer Kingsbury had a home run and Tyler Allen and Lukas Grimes both had 2 hits. Will Prest, Amari Soule, Cole Callard, Nathaniel Riches and Jake Muessigbrodt also all chipped in with hits.
