Reds nip Yankees in final inning

The Mark’s Pizzeria Reds nipped the MTA Yankees 2-1 Thursday in a hard fought game.

The contest came down to last up’s for the Reds as Jimmy Dieter singled and scored on a  clutch game winning walk off double by Brody Fry.

Avion Johnson pitched 3 strong innings and had several strike outs.

Fry went 3 for 3 with a two singles a double and drove in both runs. Dieter went 2 for 3, made a great defensive play at first and scored the winning run, Riley Tompkins went 2 for 3 with a single and a double and scored the first run and Analise Wagner added a double.

Brady Christiaasen, Avion Johnson, Carter Woodworth, and Preston Woodworth all added singles.

For the Yankees, Ryleigh Culver went 2-2 with a double and a single with an RBI, Kolton Fletcher had a triple and Liam Castricone had a double.

On the mound Culver, Miller and Castricone all pitched well.

Leading the attack for the Twins were Will Prest, Sawyer Kingsbury and Cole Callard going 3 for 3.

Tyler Allen, Carlos Doval, Lex Gray and Leland Klos all had two hits. Also chipping in with hits were Alekander Seefledt, Jackson Shultz, Maxime Pilon and Lukas Grimes.

Callard, Kingsbury, Prest and Grimes all pitched well.

Sawyer Lilleby gets set to make contact at the plate for the Yankees.
