Reds advance to playoff semifinals
The Mark’s Pizzeria Reds beat the Somerset Braves 4-2 Saturday in second round of playoffs.
Brody Fry pitched well for 3 innings and hit 2 for 3 with a hit and a home run that tied the game in the fourth inning.
Analise Wagner had a key hit also in the fourth to drive home what was to be winning run.
Carter Woodworth went 2 for 3 and scored the final run for the Reds.
Riley Thompkins had a hit and scored once, Jimmy Dieter added a hit and had a nice play in the field to get the last out with 2 runners on base to end the game.
Avion Johnson had a double and scored a run while Brady Christiaansen, Aiden Wisniewski, and Joesph Reese each added a hit.
Next game is the semifinals at Somerset on Tuesday at 6 p.m.against the MTA Yankees.
