MEDINA – The American Red Cross will have an overnight shelter at Medina High School with food and cots as the power outage extends into Friday for many in Orleans County.

National Grid expects power to be restored for six of the 10 towns in Orleans County by 10 tonight.

But Murray, Clarendon, Barre and Town of Albion may have to wait until 3:15 on Friday, National Grid reported on its website.

The shelter at Medina High School is available for anyone in the county.

There will be cots set up in the high school gym and cafeteria.

Medina expects to decide soon whether there will be school on Friday, Superintendent Mark Kruzynski said.
