RBM preps for third club hockey season

The Roy-Hart/ Barker/ Medina (and Akron) Club Ice Hockey team will begin their third season of Western New York Club Hockey League competition when they host ELPS (Eden/Lake Shore/Pioneer/ Springville) at 7:40 p.m. Saturday at Lockport.

After finishing second in the New York State tournament the last two years in a row, the RBM team is ready for the big push to the ultimate prize.

Representing Roy Hart on the team are sophomores Ryan Mettler and newcomers Andrew Downey and Elijah Giroux; juniors Tagen Decker and Dominic Peracciny and seniors Jason Kuchey and Colin Dodge.

Joining them from Barker are seniors Mitchell Johnson and Jacob Harris and from Medina junior Conner McNeil.

Representing Akron are seniors Nick Wood and Trevor Crawford and new this season, sophomore Matthew Miller.  Also, returning from last season is goaltender Andrew Warner, a Tonawanda senior.

The team is coached once again by Michael Kuchey.

During their initial season, RBM was in the small school division. Last season they were in the large school division and this season they have returned to the small school division.
