RBM icers win rubber match with Lancaster

The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina/Akron Club Hockey team defeated Lancaster 5-2 Saturday evening after splitting two games with them two weeks ago.

For all intents, this game was over after six minutes in the opening period as RBM netted three quick goals.

Nick Wood (Akron)  scored in the fourth minute on an assist from Dylan Krzykowski (Akron).  Before the period was over, RBM got two goals from Michael Kuchey (R-H) with assists from Colin Dodge (R-H), Tegan Decker (R-H), Krzykowski and Dominic Peracciny (R-H).

In the next period, Kuchey and Peracciny teamed up again on a power play goal to give RBM a 4-0 lead.

Lancaster managed a goal near the end of the period.

Both teams scored in the final period as Kuchey got his fourth goal with an assist from Ryan Mettler (R-H).

Tyler Lehan (Grand Island) had an awesome game in goal for RBM turning away shot after shot.

Now 4-5-1 on the season, RBM travels to the North Buffalo Arena next Saturday evening to face Canisius at 9 p.m.
