RBM icers win first playoff semifinal game

The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team scored a 6-1 victory over Dunkirk- Fredonia this evening at the Cornerstone Arena in the first of a home and away semifinal playoff series.

The second game will take place at SUNY Fredonia at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday with the winner moving on to the Club Hockey playoff final at the Key Bank Center next Friday at 9:00 p.m.

During a very defensive first period, Dylan Krzykowski scored unassisted with 30 seconds left, giving RBM a  1-0 advantage.

The next period saw an exchange of goals starting with Jason Kuchey scoring, assisted by Michael Kuchey.  D-F answered for a 2-1 score but Krzykowski then scored another unassisted goal giving RBM a 3-1 lead at the end of two.

The final period was all RBM as Dominic Peracciny opened the scoring with the assists going to Corey Saj andJason Kuchey.  Then Krzykowski completed the hat trick, again unassisted. Jason Kuchey completed the scoring with an assist from Luke Luckman.

Evan Birkemeir turned in a stellar performance in goal turning away 30 of 31 shots.
