RBM hockey team scores overtime win
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team made the long journey to Jamestown Friday evening and returned home with a 6-5 overtime victory.
Joel Harris (Barker) scored two first period goals to give RBM a 2-1 lead. Assists came from Luc Wagner (Medina) and Gavin Ickowski (Roy-Hart).
In the second stanza, however, Jamestown seized a 3-2 lead.
In the tense third, Holden Burkard (Newfane) scored from Jack Goehle (Newfane), Colby Boyer (Newfane) scored unassisted and Wagner scored a penalty shot, but Jamestown rallied to tie the game at the end of regulation.
However, just 40 seconds into the overtime, RBM claimed the victory as Goehle scored unassisted.
Currently 5-1-0-1 (wins-loses-overtime ties-overtime losses) RBM’s next game is not until January 8th against Orchard Park at Leisure Rink.
