RBM hockey team nipped in overtime
For the third game in a row, the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina Club Hockey team played an overtime game and eventually lost this time to St. Mary’s of Lancaster 4-3 on Sunday.
After trailing 1-0 after one period, the Knights found themselves behind 2-0 before Jack Goehle (Newfane) scored the first of his Hat Trick for the evening on passes from Luc Wagner (Medina) and Lawson Wallworth (Roy-Hart).
St. Mary’s took 3-1 lead later in the period, but Goehle tallied his second from Joel Harris (Barker) and Wallworth.
RBM tied the game in the third period on Goehle’s third from John Peracciny (Roy-Hart) and Wagner, which stood for the remainder of the game necessitating the OT.
St. Mary’s scored the winner at the 2:52 mark.
RBM’s next game is Saturday against Dunkirk/Fredonia at home beginning at 4:50 p.m.
