RBM hockey team downs Canisius in OT

Having played the top four teams in the last eight days, the Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina/Akron Club hockey team defeated Canisius 5-4 in OT Friday night, ending this grueling stretch with two wins and two losses.

RBM took an early 2-0  lead as Dominic Peracciny (R-H) scored a goal off an assist from Jason Kuchey (R-H) and Dylan Krzykowski (Ak) tallied  with assists going to Rhett Wagner (M) and Mitchell Johnson (B).  Canisius did score at the end of the period on a power play.

In the second period, Canisius tied the game, but RBM came back with two quick scores, Kuchey from Peracciny and Peracciny from Kuchey to take a 4-2 lead.  The visitors did manage a score before the start of the final period.  At the six minute point, Canisius tied the score again, setting up the five minute overtime.

With just two second left, Kuchey again scored on a rebounded Krzykowski shot for the win.  Tyler Lehan was outstanding in goal as were defensemen Tom Paisley and Colin Dodge.

RBM closes out the regular season this evening at 8:10 against rival Jamestown.
