RBM club hockey team scores two wins
The Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina club hockey teams scored a pair of wins over the weekend 3-2 over St. Mary’s of Lancaster and 5-0 over City Honors/Cardinal O’Hara.
Friday evening, Roy-Hart/Barker/Medina traveled to Cheektowaga to face St. Mary’s of Lancaster in a White Division Club Hockey game.
Falling behind halfway through the first, RBM tied the score on a goal by Colby Boyer (Newfane) with assists going to Luc Wagner (Medina) and Jack Goehle (Newfane).
In the second, RBM took the lead on a score from Holden Burkhard (Newfane), with the assist by Paul Lassman (Wilson).
St. Mary’s tied it by the end of the second, but a goal by Joel Harris (Barker) near the end of the final period sealed the game.
Devan Derda (Newfane) picked up the win in goal.
On Saturday evening, RBM entertained City Honors/Cardinal O’Hare and came away with a 5-0 win.
Goals came from Connor Ernest (Newfane), two from Wagner, one of which was short-handed and two from Richard Keppler (Medina).
Highlighting the game were two 5 on 3 penalty kills by the RBM defense and, the shutout in goal by Jordan Johnson (Medina).
RBM’s next game is Friday night at 9 p.m. in Jamestown.
