Rams shutout Purple Eagles
Scoring three quick runs in the first inning, Roy-Hart went on to blank host Albion 12-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League baseball game this afternoon.
Winning pitcher Jake Gould, Dawson Draper and Ethan Kuzma all had RBI singles in the first inning for the Rams.
Roy-Hart upped the lead to 5-0 in the thied inning on a solo home run by Draper and an RBI double by Kuzma.
The Rams capped off the win with 6 runs in the seventh as Scort Clark had a two-run single and Gavin Heideman and Brayden Hy RBI singles.
Draper and Kuzma both finished with 3 hits as Rem Albee and Gould both had 2.
Jack Kinter had a pair of hits for Albion.
On the mound, Gould hurled a 3 hitter with 9 strikeouts.
Roy-Hart improves to 6-3 in N-O action and Albion slips to 2-7.
The two teams will meet again on Friday at Roy-Hart’s Gasport field.
