Rams roll past Flyers to improve to 3-1

Completing a very busy but very successful opening week, Roy-Hart defeated host Maryvale 18-4 this afternoon in a non league baseball game.

With the victory the Rams complete the opening week with a 3-1 record.

Thomas Russo banged out a double and a grand slam home run driving in a total of 6 runs and winning pitcher Ryan Mettler had a pair of hits and 4 RBI to lead the Roy-Hart attack.

Ethan Kuzma and Jay Heideman both had 2 hits including a double as Remington Albee and Brayden Hy each had a hit.

Roy-Hart broke the game open early exploding for 8 runs in the second inning. The Rams later capped off the win over the Flyers with 6 tallies in the sixth inning.

Mettler, who pitched the first three and two thirds innings, and Hy who hurled the last two and one third innings combined for a total of 11 strikeouts.

Roy-Hart next hosts Albion on Tuesday in the Rams Niagara-Orleans League opener.
