Rams quintet heads N-O All-League team

Champion Roy-Hart has placed five players on the first team of the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League baseball squad.

Roy-Hart, which emerged on top in a tight four-way battle to claim a second straight title, is represented by senior pitcher Cameron Meadows, sophomore first baseman Charlie Bruning, junior infielder Al Xapsos, junior outfielder Jacob Bruning and senior designated hitter Eric Fitch.

Meadows went 6-0 on the mound with a 0.91 earned run average.

Charlie Bruning hit .371 with 6 doubles, 1 home run and 16 RBIs. He also went 2-1 on the mound with a 1.80 era.

Jacob Bruning hit .340 with 2 doubles and 11 RBIs. He also posted a 3-2 mound record with a 2.43 era.

Xapsos hit .464 with 3 doubles and 15 RBIs and Fitch hit .355 with 4 double, 1 home run and 19 RBIs.

Barker placed senior pitcher Eddie Wasnock and junior outfielder Collin Webb.

Wasnock, a repeat first team selection, went 4-3 on the mound with a 2.05 era. At the plate he hit .433 with 3 doubles and 9 RBIs.

Webb, a repeat honoree, hit .400 with 8 doubles, 1 home run and 15 RBIs. He also went 3-0 on the mound with a 1.09 era.

Wilson likewise placed two players in junior infielder John Bender and senior outfielder Jonah Miller.

Bender, a repeat selection, hit a league high .596 with 8 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs and 24 RBIs while Miller hit .365 with 6 doubles, 1 triple and 8 RBIs.

Medina junior infielder Brett Riemer and Albion freshman catcher Liam Ward round out the first team.

Riemer hit .446 with 5 doubles, 2 triples, 3 home runs and 20 RBIs while Ward hit .349 with 1 double and 10 RBIs.

Wilson led the way on the second team with three honorees including senior first baseman Connor Seeley, junior outfielder Tanner Seeley and sophomore designated hitter Jackson Rotella.

Medina placed two players, junior catcher Alex Allis and freshman pitcher Chris Goyette, as did Barker with senior infielder Ryan Voss and senior Kyle MacDonald and Akron with junior infielder Jacob Cummings and sophomore infielder Brandon Orr.
